About Isaiah53
Our name was God given. We had special prayer during practice one night and asked God to bless our band and to direct us in finding a name. Adam, our bass player, had the idea to open up the Bible and point at a word and that would be our name. Ashley did just that and the word I pointed to was Lord. We all laughed and decided that Lord was probably not the right name for us. Aaron said that we should incorporate the place were it started. It all started on highway 53 in Anderson County. We look for books in the Bible that had 53 chapters; one of which was Isaiah. When we read Isaiah 53 we found that it was all about what are Savior did on the cross for us, and that is what we want this band to be all about. "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." That how we got our name.
