About Roshana
Considered the fresh new voice for the heart and soul, Roshana has emerged with a maturity and confidence that is far beyond her tender years. Combining emotionally expressive lyrics and rich vocal intensity, this young R&B artist possesses a sound that is comparable to that of early Monica. While only 16, Roshana has already mastered the art of using her music as a means to compel the listener to seriously ponder the genuine message she delivers.
She began in her shy pre-teen years, as part of a local youth choir. From then to now she has blossomed into a soulful singer who is destined to rise above the status quo. Headlining at many local events, Roshana has successfully started her musical career. When speaking to her ultimate motivation, she writes. âSo many days I sat and prayed to see this dream come true, itâs coming to pass and itâs coming so fast and itâs all because I listened to You.â
Influenced and inspired by the works of Lauryn Hill, Fred Hammond, Boyz II Men, Tamia, Beyoncé, and Alicia Keys; it is Roshanaâs heartfelt riffs and soul searching approach that makes her style unmistakably her own. With her distinguished trademark sound, Roshana is diligently preparing to release her debut album in the summer of 2005. Majority of her premiere will be produced by the 16 year old Positivibesâ prodigy, Micah âChozen Childâ Williams. Veterans Promise, Chisoni Bravo, and Aion âVoyceâ Clarke, among others, have also collaborated with the singer on this project. Listeners can expect this album to leave them astounded at what this young artist can do.
As pen in the hands of an accomplished author is to a page, so is music in the hands of Roshana to the notebook of your soul. As you take in her music, reality based scripts of truth, life, and love will be written on your heart.
