The members of the “Word Up” group are all home schooled brothers and sisters. Their music has debuted on Baltimore’s am radio 1590 – WFBR during the Three Hours of Power weekly radio show. Recent live performances of their original music include: The Diocese of Charlotte, North Carolina’s Eucharistic Congress for over 500 teenagers (2007), Filipino-American Friendship Day Festival (’05, ’06, & ‘07) with attendance of more than 5,000 each year, the St. Rose of Lima Christmas Concert (2006), the Holy Trinity “Back to School Jam” (2006), the Power Up Spring Jam (2007), and the Living Waters Birthday Bash (2006), the Bisaya Medical Association Convention (2007), and their very own, sold out, Album Release Concert. Alyssa, the lead female vocalist has also performed for over 1000 dignitaries in Washington D.C. singing the Star Spangled Banner when she was only six years old. She and CJ have also sung the Star Spangled Banner for the Opening Ceremonies of the WEKAF World Eskrima Tournament in Orlando, Florida in 2006, and for local sporting events.
