The song came from an experience that I went through as a teenager while I was in the car waiting for my mother to finish talking to some of her friends after church. Everyone had gone home and we were the only ones in the parking lot. A gospel song that I really liked came on the radio and I turn it up loud to enjoy it more. My mother came over and said it was inappropriate to have music that loud at church. I then said to her, "but mom, its gospel music, I'm praising God. and I'm not disturbing anyon, so what's the problem?" The overall message of the song is simple, dont be afraid to praise god at your full potentional!!!
