DJ Zorro is George Lawson-Bennett born a long time ago. He grew up a good little sweet church boy from birth. When he reached hes teens he continued to dedicate his life to Christianity. Not because his Mother said so, but because he truly believed in the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In 1988 after the break-up of a relationship George drifted from the faith. He dropped the name George and became popular as DJ Zorro in national D.M.C DJ Mixing Competitions. Zorro also took up body building and for the next 11 years spent most of his spare time either bouncing at night clubs, DJing or raving at Hip Hop or RnB jams. Zorro was also in and out of numerous relationships. Some meaningful, many meaningless: but above all music was his first love. In December of 1999 Zorro was listening to an album he had just purchased: - Notorious B.I.G./Born Again. He was transferring the music from vinyl to cassette to play in his car. Zorro was monitoring the music through headphones as he didnt want his 13 year old daughter who was in the room with him at the time to hear all the cussing on the tracks. Right there Zorro felt like God spoke to him: calling him a hypocrite and saying If it aint good enough for your daughter it aint good enough for you From that very moment Zorro made a change in his life. He rededicated his life to Christ. Zorro is now totally sold out for Jesus. Zorro now has meaning: - Zealous, Obedient, Rapper, Repented & Ordained. Zorro mixes scratches and blends 100% Urban Gospel Music. Zorro writes his own Gospel Rap Song. Zorro produces Urban Gospel Music. Zorro now spends most of his time spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to predominately, but not exclusively youth all around the U.K. Zorro hopes to release his debut album at the end of 2006.
