À propos de JB AKA SON OF SAUL
JB is a man of many talents, but hip hop and ministry is his passion. Seasoned with wisdom, the word is evident in the product and skillfully displayed to present a quality hip hop product the world is dying to hear. From Chicago, the "Son of Saul" travels abroad to share the message that God has given him. "I feel that too many rappers, whether secular or Christian, try too hard to appeal to the streets. The streets can discern the real from the fake, and so can the body of Christ." With this in mind, JB feels the music he makes challenges church folk and street cats to examine theirselves to see where they line up with the Word of God. "I fall short just like anyone else, but too many Christians are hypocrites and it's keeping those who want to have a relationship with God from doing so cuz they think everyone in church is either perfect or phony".
As an artist, Son of Saul has been writing and performing for over 15 years and his passion is evident in his unique sound. At age 18, he received a prophetic word that said he would be rapping for Jesus, a word that took almost 10 years to fully manifest. False accusations against the Son of Saul helped birth in a new humility and a ministry of greater proportions: NO JUDAS,INC which consists of a record label, production company, a publishing company as well as an artist relations team.
If you're tired of the same 'ol thing in your hip hop, take a listen. If you're fed up with gospel rap that doesn't measure up, take a listen. If you've had enough of christian music being "boxed in" simply because of a label, this is the artist for you. JB's focus in life, as well as his art, is advancing the Kingdom. "Jesus' entire ministry while on earth was about the kingdom. His message went against the grain verses the typical synagogue message, and that's what I'm about," says the Son of Saul. "People get religious and phony when they see Christians networking with sinners, but that's exactly what Christ did. He understood that their wealth, resources, knowledge, and gifts were laid up for the righteous. Those are the souls we want to save. We're the ones who limit ourselves, box ourselves in and wonder why the Body of Christ isn't more productive".
The music has an original sound and feel....the artist has a genuine love for quality music free of the garbage hip hop has become. Son of Saul wants to assist in Holy hip hop's efforts to restore the artform, and upgrade the mentality of people who've been overloaded with "lyrical nothing-ness". That's whassup!
