Corey Redden was born in 1974 the third child of seven, living in a single parent home, his father left him and his sister and brother at the age of five, so Corey watched his mother struggle to take care of his family while living in the projects without a job but, she always prayed and read the bible with the family so God always made a way,but as time passed by Corey's mother met a man in her life and things started to change, now his mother is drinking and things turned for the worse and now Corey's sister is taking care of family, time passed by and he feel short and dropped out of school thinking he was all that with the ladies and cool with the fellows but had changed for the worse. Corey and his brother, with no guidence or father figure in their lives, the streets were the only alternative that they thought they had; so thats the path they took, by now Corey started selling drugs, smoking weed, drinking and many other things under the sun for 10 years or better and lived reckless. Corey's brother ended up in prison for the most of his life but Corey was traped by drugs living for a high, and by not carring about nothing and nobody, he found himself loosing everything he had, his car, job, family, and place to live and it felt like he was loosing his mind. Corey remembered this one night while he was at the club and had taken what thy call ecstasy a form of a pill and it had him feeling really bad and at this time Corey had hit rock bottom in his life, he new and every one else new this would happen, so walking from the club on this lonely dirt road Corey was crying and really crushed about his life, so suddenly he heard a loud voice say to him "Give up it's over kill yourself!" and again he heard a small sweet voice saying "Come to me I'll give rest!" and Corey could tell one voice came from the Devil and the other from God, so he yelled out loud to the Devil "I've served you long enough, no more!" and he asked Jesus "Please come in my life and be my lord" since that day Corey had made a decission in his heart to live in God's Kingdom for the rest of his life. Corey is now became a kingdom Rap artist with a new name of LYFE-C!
