À propos de Mobsters Of Light
The M.O.L.
The Mobsters of Light an innovative, thought provoking, soul stirring, hip-hop crew came together in 2003. God gave Elder Nick (Hit-Man) a vision to start a gospel rap group named Mobster of Light. The focus of the group would be to provide todayâs hip-hop lovers with an alternative sound and to reach the lost. The mobsters consist of jayVcee, Rebel 4 Christ, Mouth Almighty, and Hit-Man. Later God would bless us with Da Mediator and B-Dawn. With all the immoral standards of todayâs mainstream rap, the M.O.L. is definitely taking a bold stand against the constant deterioration in the society of music. They desire to see the next generation regain the true meaning of music with positive reinforcement. The group comes well equipped with the ability to produce and write their own music. Their current highly anticipated album âChurch Shakaâ is one of the first of its kind. It is expected to cross over and reach both mainstream and gospel music listeners. These men are sending the message of hope to all who are willing to hear and receive.
The Mobsters of Light are in high demand to perform in a variety of events, such as the Sony Urban Music Showcase, Little Rock Arkansas, Texas, Kansas, Compton California and numerous youth and young adult functions in Oklahoma City. The M.O.L. are moving at the speed of light without any hesitation to accomplish their goal of pushing their on the edge sound of hip-hop around the country.

Is Hip Hop a Valid Ministry Tool?
Hip Hop is definitely one the most visible genres of music today. Its not only reaching out to youth - the future leaders of our society, but even adults.
We as Holy Hip Hop artists understand the power of the Word and Music. So, mixing the Word with Hip Hop in effect translates the Gospel into an entertaining and euphonic language which grabs the ears and attention. The Word comes to life where people who are part of the Hip Hop Generation can understand it and STAND to listen to it. The beat and sound grabs the individual and pins them down, even if the listener is not hearing the lyrics at first we all know there is a spirit behind the music. That spirit gets into their spirit-man and Jesus Christ begins to draw the people unto Him. The next thing that ultimately takes place is one more saved soul in the Kingdom of God! And Heaven rejoices.
If you've ever been to a very traditional or religious church, it may be difficult to understand or relate to the pastor or preacher, particularly if you are a young adult. But if you find yourself with a friend attending a more 'progressive' church the preacher or pastor may break down the Word in a way that youve never heard before and it becomes clear to you; you understand it.
Holy Hip Hop artists are taking that type of teaching method to the next level and mixing Hip Hop with the Word of God, we call it a New Song. The bible talks about a New Song all throughout Psalms and in Isaiah. Psalm 98:1 says Sing to the LORD a New Song, for he has done marvelous things. Hip Hop is our new song; the method may be different, but the Message remains the same.
