Frederick "Ricky B." Burchell is a rapper/producer who uplifts the name of Jesus through rap music. Not only is he a rapper and producer, but he is a youth minister at Abundant Life Christian Center in Murfreesboro TN. He released his first solo album The Calling on D-Fusion Music/ Broken Records in 1998. The Song âStand Up 4 Tha Faithâ reached #1 for seven weeks on the Christian Rap Charts Joyful Noize. In the spring of 1999 he toured the Philippines, becoming the first Christian rap artist to tour that country. After his tour of the Philippines, he recorded his second album entitled The Fish-a-men under Kamikazee Records. Ricky B. has given his testimony and has spoken in schools, national youth conferences, television and radio stations around the country. Also, Ricky B. and co-host Terrance "4Given" Carlton host a television show called Mix Masters Lounge, which aired first in January of 2003 on Steelroots TV/INSP. Additionally, Ricky B. & 4Given have received a Holy Hip Hop award, and were nominated by the Urban Gospel Alliance for Best New Artists. Ricky B. has also had the opportunity to co-star in the Perception Film release Objects of Wrath where he plays an ex-con named "Jamal" as well as team up with the gospel group V3 to record the song "We Should Praise Him" for the EMI Gospel release Praise Life Beyond 1.0. Ricky B. along with 4Given have released 2 CD's together (Somethin' U Ain't Heard B4, and Unstoppable) and will be releasing their third CD (If God B4 Us) very soon. Ricky B. has also teamed up with Hip Hop Legend and Pioneer Kurtis Blow, and Louisville KY Recording Artist Chris Flow to form a new super group called "The Trinity". The Trinity will be releasing their debut CD "Just Do It" very soon. The mission of Ricky B. is "to let young people know they can be radiant for Christ, and not to be ashamed of it.â
