Serious was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1984. His family moved to England and then to Adrian, Michigan. Constantly changing schools and surroundings he had to adapt to many situations and cultures.

Having anxiety attacks at age 10, he hid behind athletics, mainly basketball growing up and thought he was all right. After high school anxiety followed him along with inherited depression. There was so much instability emotionally and spiritually, trying to cover up pain with no lasting result.

All through this time, music was the best expression and his talent for writing grew to the point it is at today.

10 schools and 21 jobs in 24 years of life all contribute to his music. Married to his beautiful wife of 3 years, a 2-year-old daughter and a 2 month-old daughter, all hold his life together, but no one greater than Christ himself.

He couldn’t deal with stress, pain, depression and every problem without help, and God offered the only answer to every trouble in his whole life, redemption through Jesus death and resurrection.
