Bring a Bag of Food Concerts
What is a Bring a Bag of Food Concert? We are all aware
of the bad economic news. It is splashed all over the media every day.The present recession has hit many Americans harder than others.One news story in particular punctuates the seriousness of the situation.The food pantries across the country are running out of food.Donations are way down.
My wife [Cynthia] and I were praying and wondering what we could do to possibly help out a little.We are professional musicians with our own family group.We would like to schedule a series of concerts that would help fill the empty shelves at the local food pantry.The concept is that instead of charging admission or even a door donation, we simply ask that, if at all possible, for the audience to bring and donate whatever food that they are able to help the cause.
If you know of anyone that might be interested in having us perform for your church or other organization in the Charleston SC. area during the holiday season let us know by adding to this blog.
