À propos de noless

No'less started professional singing in the late 90's when he began hanging around studios as a session man, playing and doing background vocals for bigger bands and artistes. He has been featured on several songs where his artistry was ingeniously showcased and admired by fans and contemporaries alike. No'less' non-compliance to the status quo stood him out among his contemporaries. Setting the pace for others to follow, and attracting great things. Raised in the music loving city of Jos,the music capital of Nigeria, he hone his musical career in the church working as music director, choir director, keyboardist and soloist for different churches over a period of years while in college studying for a degree in English Literature. After years of serving in church he decided to go solo though still singing in church. This decision led to devoting all his life working to improve himself and build a career in music. "I want to be a career musician" is a phrase you'd always hear when you are around No'less. "I want to be remembered for my professionalism in what I do even if it is just singing background vocals".

No'less' smooth-velvety vocals and sensuous musical arrangement can be enjoyed in the form of art he has distinguished himself in; R&B. You can almost feel his emotions oozing from the stereo, seething through your soul like a dagger aimed at your heart. His effortless delivery of smooth - high pitched notes on melody laden tracks reminds you of Joe, Mario,Avant or Neyo; and the strength of the vocals gives you an R Kelly or Jagged Edge touch to his vocals and music, but the spirit behind it all captures you and transports you to the place of want and need for spiritual emotional freedom and healing which you can experience from the well written and arranged lyrics. The synergy between these and his stage presence releases an energy you can almost touch from where you are seated or standing. No'less' genre of R&B is street friendly though still maintaining the suaveness and emotions of the genre. "I always strive to live the lyrics of the songs I sing, and not to be a hypocrite...and that is because I feel and can almost touch the song". "I belief it is in living it that others know it works and can work for them to". He says. No'less' lyrics are about love, especially between man and woman as ordained by God and between man and God then between humanity and the creation. he believes that only he that has experience love can sing about it and even go a step further to offer it to others, you cannot give what you don't have. "I only give what I have".

No'less is an R&B act who believes in excellence. "If it's worth doing, then do it well" He'd say. The name No'less means "Nothing Less" and this simply summarizes the young mans intentions and approach to whatever he does. No'less started his musical career professionally as a session man playing and singing back ups for other musicians both small and big around the local studios in his hometown. His drive for excellence led him to start arranging vocals for some of the top artistes he worked with; like Dr Panam Percy Paul ( Africa's leading/pioneer Gospel artiste),Aity Daniels Etc.. His quest for pro musicianship and better tracks also gave birth to the producer in him. Starting out as a session sequencer/producer and ending up an in-house producer for one of Nigeria's top production companies,Panam Music World, where he worked with professionals such as Buchi,Obed Akanya, (of the miracle worker fame),Shark Skein (the 1998 Rothmans grab the mic national champion),Bobby Hai,Kristine (2005 MTN talent hunt winner,Jos),Adu Deme,Shola Heir,M.I,Dr Panam Percy Paul himself and a whole lot of others all pro's in their rights. He worked so hard churning out hit upon hit for other artistes that he was made the studio manager of Panam music world in 2003. Before then,No'less has been involved in a whole lot of road shows, gigs and stage performances in his alma mater and in and around his hometown, gaining him the reputation of a true R&B maestro. 2001 saw the production of "Ma Number 1",a song that made a CD been marketed in the United States of America by Breakaway Magazine the official organizers of the Breakaway praise Album, Making him the first producer of our hip hop generation to have a song on an international album. He was on star quest in 2002 with his band Nu trendz, where they were billed to win,and received great and positive critique and reviews. Between 2003 and 2004,No'less decided to be away from the public's eye for a while. It was a period of growth for the artiste,a period of discovery and maturity. Though still producing and seen his radio jingles and commercials been aired on most of the local stations around and even on national network TV. It wasn't until 2005 that he came back and this time with a bang as he always does. The release of his first single "Bottom Line" that year generated a lot of media buzz, taking the song to number three for twelve weeks making it the longest song on the chart that year on the local top twenty charts (power count down),the first and oldest charts in Nigeria, which has the endorsement of the Fanta world chart show. The release of the second single "Last Thank You" saw No'less getting the much needed recognition he has always longed for in his career. The second single got to number one on all the local charts on Ray Power and Peace FM,was voted the biggest song of the year 2005 by audience on two of the top chart shows in Jos,Plateau Nigeria. This led to sold out shows last year and this year in his hometown of Jos. Now No'less has broken loose and is ready for the international stage. And this is no doubt becoming a reality. Since the released of his album on the 9th of April this year he has receive positive reviews, airplay and has been approach by top notch artiste managers in Nigeria and outside Nigeria. "Last Thank You" Now enjoys success as number one on Cool FM's 'Abuja top ten',and has received wide acceptance and popularity in the Nation's capital. Recently he has been receiving invitations for interviews and on air recognition. Bottom line, the album has received positive acceptance and recognition in and around the capital. And with his new relationship with Proactive Records, under the able management of June Jack,No'less is about to explode and take his rightful place as the 'real king of R&B'

Yes music has always been a part of his life. He grew up listening to good stuff ranging from Marvin Gaye to Michael Jackson,Bob Marley,Cool and the Gang, the Gap Band,Stevie Wander,Teddy Pendergrass,Brass Construction,Aretha Franklin,Bobby Brown,Barry White and so much that has positively influenced his creativity and opened him up to the world of music. But the decision to take music as a profession was informed by his quest to pour out his emotions and express his most deepest feelings..."I never belief people around understand me and I always thought I can only get through to them by singing...and the joy of seen people enjoying my songs is just amazing" He said. But it took a whole of training and believing in himself to get out there.

With the success of his singles on radio, and the success he is currently enjoying as a top notch producer/engineer and songwriter/arranger No'less has nothing to fear but look up. Critics has given him a positive review and has dubbed him the next big thing to come out of Nigeria. And in an era where Nigerian music is getting international recognition and is in high demands among Nigerians at home and in diaspora, and also among people with interest in the Nigerian entertainment scene,it is obvious that the sky is the limit for this young talented R&B/HipHop crooner.
